It's really very simple, it's a sign that someone is full of himself when he 'signs' his post.
dude, webb has way more leg speed than ryun did. didn't webb run a 1:48 and 49 in high school?[quote]jon boda wrote:
1:49 is almost dime a dozen in highschool.
Webb went 1:47 in high school.
Yes, you don't know what else to say cause it is true.
You are such a troll. You're criticizing Ritz after a performance like this. Tell you what. Go run your 50 miles a week and run your 16:20 5Ks. We're all very impressed.

At least you can admit to being an idiot LMAO
Note the IAAF article. Other two athletes talk about trainng camps, prep for bigger events. Note the focus they show. (Ritz says he want to make the x-country team)
Ritz talks about becoming a road racer and maybe marathoner. This great kid could piss it all away on the road for a few paychecks.
This kid needs some big picture help. Running for $$$ is dangerous and not long term thinking.
His coach has not worked with talent that has this type of world beating potential. The damage/focus that happens over the next two years will decide
if he becomes great or turns into "what ever happened to" beer talk.
why is there always some naysayer where Ritz is concerned? God, the kid is awesome. He is not going to set any world records, but then again no American ever will in distance. That result is fantastic, fantastic. Only about 2 other Americans now at that level.
Hey, what about me?
um, Ryun ran 1:44.3 for a WR as an 18 yo.
Ritz is much smarter than you think. The only thing Ritz should do is enjoy what he is doing. Go Ritz!
You are bickering after a performance like this because he isn't focused. I got news for you not everybody wants to live in a camp or trains smart in a camp. Hudson gets advice from the best minds in the world. Ritz keep doing what your doing.

You are out of your mind. Almost dime a dozen. Maybe if you are from Eldorat.

Ritz may have great PRs, but he always comes in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.
He isn't tough enough yet to win.
Are you stupid? What do you mean he doesn't win? And anyways, not everyone can win every single race they run.
Why do so many idiots post 'anyways'? It is 'anyway', no 's' at the end.
iloverunning (another new name for THE same poster?)
Dathan shows he have the guts to show up and compete well against the top athletes in x-country, but what do you think he have to do to be a possible medalist in 2008 Olympics? His endurance will continue to improve as long as he remains healthy but in order to get under 27 minute 10000m shape he may have to improve his 1500m speed greatly by 2008, what do you think?

Yikes!
1:49 is not uncommon in highschool. having 1:49 legspeed garuntees you nothing
