That response because I am a former 2:30 marathoner who couldn't break 4 hours now due to age (60) and weight (200+).......
I do training runs with a former 2:30 marathoner. He recently won a local 5K outright (not age group) at the age of 62. Being 60 is no excuse for no being able to break 4 hr in the marathon.
