Paula is very aware of what is going on from a broad perspective and even within the insider world that LetsRun inhabits.

Before Worlds I spoke to her husband Gary, when I first broached the subject of some of my concerns, and the joke was he should stay off the boards. Once a lurker, always a lurker.

With the cross-over prominence Paula has into the non-running world, I understand her taking a different course of action than I would.

Unless the blood values are not hers. You can't call it a fact if it hasn't been established yet.

Okay Wejo...

if Paula claims she isn't the 'star Brit athlete' in question:

1) who does she think is?

2) what does she think about her fellow Brits who have the suspicious values?

3) Finally. why did she go quiet for a month on Twitter, and have nothing to say about the ST/ARD doping revelations in July/August?

Wejo never said she denied being the athlete. It doesn't sound like he can come out and say it one way or another. Reading between the lines it sounds like Wada is investigating and asking people involved not to comment publicly until they finish. Sort of like when usada asked Kara Goucher not to come out with anything else publicly.

Right, I think his non-denial means that she probably is the athlete in question.

Have you considered the possibility that Paula is genuinely in favor of clean sport and also doped? Perhaps she has an attitude similar to criminals that want their children to lead clean lives.

Not likely. Reedie won't say a bad word to the Russians, there is no way the IAAF would request an investigation, ukad was advising athletes to maximize secrecy.

Nobody on the sport-admin side wants her to go down. She's not going down and WADA has no authority to do anything.

This is over. Coe,IAAF,WADA. no one wants to see Paula go down. If you have Barry Bonds personality, the world will come after you. If it is someone like Paula, the world will let it slide.

Thanks for the reply. I'm prepared to believe there are things happening in the background that we may not know about and that more will come out in the future. However some strange stuff has been going on in the last month and until we're offered some proof then there will always be doubts.

I'd like to believe she is clean as I stayed up late watching her races in the early hours of the morning and I'd been moved to tears watching her miss out on medals in the early part of her career. However questions have been raised and not answered.

The Sunday Times has a history of exposing drug cheats and cover ups from international sporting federations. Annoyingly it's not printed names, and we're having to make educated guesses which is fuelling the story. I would like to hear from David Walsh who exposed Lance Armstrong and ghost wrote Paula's book. At the moment he is keen on exposing Seb Coe

to be a hypocrite as he constantly changes/softens his stance on drug cheats, and brings up his links with Nike and questions if it's right he can be on the payroll of the company and remain impartial at the head of the sport on many decisions.

I'd like to hear Walsh's view on the British Athlete. I suspect it's similar to Kimmage who I assume is still a friend (they were close friends on the TDF but Kimmage has since left The Times) and who has is a bit more likely to speak out.

You don't seem to understand that WADA has no authority to do anything.

You are waiting for the IAAF's report on itself that will determine Seppelt/Ashenden/Parisotto are all false. Coe will use the same old excuses and doping will continue because the IAAF is okay with doping. Just attract an audience when you dope, like Paula, and never testing positive is likely, like Paula and so many others.

It's hard to think of a reason for delayed release other than her having to prepare an elaborate yarn about why her data is anomalous but bona fide. Probably it's already too late to correct this impression.
