Why did Magness wait 3+ years to go public with the Rupp "testosterone medication" photo?

Much of Magness' story is anecdotal and requires the reader to believe each step along the way until we reach the "damning" evidence. I don't doubt that much of Magness' story is true, but I'm not sure I buy all of it - and I simply don't find any proof that illegal (according to WADA or USADA) activities are/were happening.

Alberto - and MANY other coaches in elite level endurance sports - push the envelope as to what is legal. Truth be told, isn't that the coach's responsibility? To get their athletes to the highest possible level using legal methods?

It's Alberto's reply to Epstein's questions. From the Epstein article:

"In emails, both Salazar and Rupp say that Rupp has never taken testosterone or any testosterone medication. Salazar says the notation was incorrect and actually referred to a nutritional supplement called Testoboost that Rupp was taking 'in an effort to counterbalance the negative effects of prednisone.' Testoboost, he says, is a 'legal supplement' that Rupp has disclosed to USADA whenever applicable."

Sorry to belabor this point, but as I've said before in this thread, the BEST CASE for Salazar is that he was giving Testoboost to a 16-year-old.

I don't believe that Mary Cain's parents knew that when they agreed to have her work with Salazar, I hope they wouldn't have agreed to her working with Salazar if they had known that, and I hope Mary Cain and her parents will decide, upon reflection, that they need to break ties with Salazar now.

Clearly you are being disingenuous about how people like Epstein and his ilk work; if someone who is white is doing well - a person who isn't a member of their self absorbed white hating tribe - they can't stand it. But you won't be able to shake off the brainwashing until some big things happen. And they will.

Yes, I know there is still the chance more evidence will be found and more people will come forward. But if this is what they found after a year of sleuthing I am just not convinced. Not yet anyway. What is really a mind-o (like a typo, a mental slip) to put testosterone on that chart. Why would they do that under any other circumstances? (I'm not really asking--seems to me if it was actually testosterone there would be less than no chance they would put that, and maybe that doctor had a tendency to those mistakes as some people do). Given all that time and the extra time Magness had to churn up a lot more with an insider job, I am left underwhelmed. No, I don't work for Nike or NOP nor am I more a fan of them than other successful runner groups. I just sat through a TV show expecting to be solidly convinced based on what I had heard, and I was not even close to convinced.

Nobody knows, because it's an untested, unregulated supplement. That's why I think it's so bad that Salazar says he was "only" giving Rupp Testoboost. Again, sorry to be repeating myself, but if it came out that a high school coach was giving an athlete Testoboost, I would expect that coach to be fired.

Gimme a break. TestoBoost is just a bunch of vitamins, minerals, and silly stuff like deer antler. It's not a drug. High school coaches (particularly football coaches, but also in other sports) routinely recommend that their athletes take supplements. You might disagree with that practice, but you're way off if you think it's universally regarded as unacceptable behavior.

In any event, the real reason I don't buy that Rupp was taking testoboost is because such an innocuous supplement (that probably doesn't do anything) wouldn't have been listed on that document. Everything else on there was really important. If Testoboost made the cut, then you'd expect tons more detail about other things they've been doing.

I'm confused. You don't seem to have any kind of reply to the simple fact that permitting doping leads to adults doping kids. Instead, you just moved onto a different point.

Does that mean you agree? What should be the consequences of adults doping kids?

Note that the IOC and IAAF are both okay with adults doping kids.
