Anakin and the death of his mother
The ending scene in Yojimbo.
Rocky II when Adrian comes out of the coma. I just got goosebumps watching it again now.
Sappy, but hands down the part of Field of Dreams were he asks the young version of his dad for a catch.

Yeah. I really feel like that entire movie was essentially just made for that last scene. There is truly something quite sublime about that last scene. Not sure what. Perhaps it taps into something very unconscious in us (men especially), of being able to relate to our fathers on an equal "playing field". Being able to talk truly honestly with them.
The "wanna have a catch?" cuts far deeper than any "I love you" could ever have. Brilliant scene.
Band of brothers. Last episode. Final scene. By the time they interview the real dick winters I'm balling. God bless 'merica.
most famous scene from Platoon

Maybe not the best, but definitely satisfying and worth watching the establishment get theirs.
Al Pacino's disciplinary hearing scene from "Scent of a Woman."
It requires proper context, but by the time you get to the second Russian Roulette scene in Deer Hunter, it's the most powerful scene I've witnessed. Obviously not with a uplifting "Rudy" type of power, but man, if that scene doesn't blow your hair back nothing will. No pun intended.
Dead Man Walking: father of one of the dead victims meets w/ nun (Susan Sarandon) to try and figure out why he doesn't feel that Sean Penn's execution will bring him peace of mind.
"WHAT'S IN THE BOX!?!?"
2 tom hanks movies....
Shawshank-when Brooks takes his own life and the letter is read
Green Mile- the "pieces of glass in my head" scene
When Tom Hanks loses Wilson in cast away. I didn't know what to think lol.
More Tom hanks: Saving Private Ryan...... it may not be one scene, but the whole sequence where the patrol tries to figure out the captain's peace-time profession, and he finally tells them that he's an English teacher. Not so powerful, but made me realize the entire genius of script writing, direction, acting , etc, to create a powerful viewing experience.
Deliverance
Mountain Man: I bet you can squeal like a pig. Weeeeeeee!
Bobby: Weee!
Mountain Man: Weeeeeeee!
Bobby: Weee!
I wouldn't step into a canoe or kayak for five years after watching that movie.
Not sure if it's been mentioned (probably not) but The ending of It's a Wonderful LIfe always gets me.

While I don't consider this classic cinema, I have to admit it's the best scene from the prequels. I really liked the direction his conversion to the dark side was headed after this scene. The actual conversion scene in the third movie was very disappointing.
The scene when Fieval is reunited with his dad in "An American Tail" *sniff*
The last scene in Schindler's List where Oscar Schindler looks at all the stuff he still has and realizes that there are Jews that died because he held onto his ring, his car.
I talk about this with my runners at the beginning of the season and right before states...you don't want to end a season or a career wondering how much more your could have given.
