Sports Science tested this years ago - 70 to 10 degrees resulted in a 2.5psi drop. There are many other reasons how it could have dropped 2psi in the current scenario. This whole thing is just a whole lot of hot air.

Does anybody seriously believe that NFL footballs are of noticeably different sizes depending upon whether or not it is raining that day? Clearly you could not possibly think this and still be capable of typing so I'm going to have to go with you are simply a liar.

Hey "real scientist", you know that actual, real scientists have tested this in the exact same conditions as the AFC Championship and found the PSI to drop an average of 1.8 PSI? The temperature accounted for 1.1 PSI and the wet conditions another .7 PSI.

This confirms the statements released by MIT and Boston College.

HeadSmart Labs found that on average the footballs dropped 1.1 PSI from the 25 degree temperature change alone. The Lab also found that when the leather was wet, the ball dropped an additional 0.7 PSI. In combination, it was found that on average the footballs lost 1.8 PSI with a max of 1.95 PSI from exposure to game day elements.

Did you read the thread? The radius change would only need to 1/10" or less to change the pressure by 2psi. And given the new info that the decrease was close to 1 psi, the radius change necessary would be even smaller. So indeed the sizes would not be noticeably different.

At any rate, you don't need to appeal to authority to support your argument. Anyone can make pressure measurements on a football before and after dunking the football in water and putting it in a fridge.

The issue isn't whether the colts would have won or not. You can say the score over an over again, but you cannot account for momentum. There is even momentum going into the second half in a big game with a lead like this.Even if the outcome doesn't change, people have an issue with it because it shows a pattern of cheating with the Patriots. Bill Belichick is a cheating as$ punk. There is no denying that.

Who said it only affected 11 balls? Perhaps one ball was prepared at a higher pressure for the backup QB. Perhaps only 11 balls got wet. Perhaps we don't know exactly how many balls were affected since there has been no definitive information forthcoming on this.

Well, there is denying it. The Patriots were busted in the Spygate incident 7 years ago. What other cheating have they been convicted of during the Belichick era?
