Three pages of self congratulating underweight comments make me want to throw up! When will runners begin to see that the calories expended need to be for useful purposes? If you keep your weight way below average, is it to run faster, or to do more humanitarian work? A high paying job with kudos for your off hour race results is total selfishness! When will your sub normal weight reflect your humanitarian work? If not for that, perhaps you are just self centered!

I'm identical to the OP: 5'10, 165 lb. I've been lifting recently. The strange thing is that I tend to gain muscle fairly easily, especially in my lower body (13.5" upper arms, 24" thighs), but I drop weight very easily too, generally when I'm not trying to. I'm planning to run a half in May, and I'd estimate that I'll be in the 145-155 lb range by then.
