Hamilton claims that her chip malfunctioned at the halfway point and that her husband timed her in 1:36:51, not 2:06:51 like the chip read. She claims that she then "threw the hammer down" (quote from the paper) and ran 1:18 for the second half.
For that to be true, according to the race results, she would've had to pass these 14 runners who ran faster than 1:36:51 at the half split but finished after 2:55 when Hamilton finished.
