To Ato's credit, based on the email conversations, he does seem more concerned about payment than hitting that nasty. It reads like he's viewing hitting that beast as a necessary evil to get a free trip and a tasty payday. She's trying to talk nasty and Ato's more concerned with not having to pay taxes.

Black in the racial sense refers to African descended people and you know it. Dark-skinned Sri Lankans and Aborigines are genetically asiatic. A lot of Indians and Pakistanis appear white to me yet are not labeled thus. Same with many Arabs from the Levante and North Africa who are technically Caucasian.

There is a whole other world outside the United States. The societal norms for racial/ethnic classifications aren't in other parts of the world. In Brazil many obvious African influenced people label themselves White and darker less European influenced people label themselves Pardo. In Australia British people called the Aboriginals Black and the term has stuck.

Boldon is of African decent, hence he's Black. She's of Indian (South Asian) decent, hence she ain't Black.
