Why can't USA compete in Commonwealth Games?

The Commonwealth Games are called "the friendly games" - so yes the US is out.

Some times child gets bigger than daddy .

Daddy is always DADDY.

this is actually a pretty good idea. We could always host in former wc/olympic/international championships cities so we use existing infrastructure and turn a profit.

For those who keep asking why the U.S.A can't compete, the simple answer is to join the Commonwealth ;)

There would be nothing wrong with the US filing for membership of the Commonwealth of Nations. In fact, Her Britannic majesty would likely be delighted. Perhaps she might invite Obama for tea over it, although, it might be distasteful for Her Majesty to take tea face to face with a savage of sorts.

How about an invitational "friendship" games, featuring the likes of USA, Iran, Syria, Libya, Israel, Palestine, North Korea, Ukraine and Russia.
