Much of what the OP is saying is spot on, even if it's at times mildly inflammatory to the Letsrun crowd. I can picture most of you finishing your 60 minute session of crunches and hip thrusts, then logging in and getting angry reading this.
The stuff about "core" being an ill-defined buzzword is on point, as is the commentary of how bizarre it is that people have been brainwashed into thinking that these muscles that make up your "core" inexplicably respond better to super low-intensity/high-rep work than all of your other muscle groups do.
Sadly, most of the posters on here would rather sit on Mars, in a cave, with their fingers in their ears than consider they've been wrong all along.
