You know they are good times for a soph but people are acting like they are unheard of. There will be a half dozen sophmores this year with time about this fast. Not many of them make the next big step (sub: 4:05/8:50) where you can start projecting them out as potential stars. I hope this kid can make the jump

That's a pretty sick ranking. 20th is a legit ranking. His time is only like a second away from Tanner Anderson, and John Dressel. His time was a second faster than Grant Fisher's time. They are amazing juniors. I'm interested to see if he will PR at Texas Relays and at the state meet. If he could, that would be amazing to show that he ran that 9:03 when he wasn't even in peak performance yet.
