Here is the unfortunate truth wrote:
1) Yes, she was TERRIBLY wrong in her approach
2) Some people just do not learn regardless of how many race they have run (lots of people, actually - see Kenyan/Ethiopian approach to beating Farah).

4th in Daegu, 5th in London and now 4th in Moscow. - All with the same tactic. She was talented and strong enough to medal at any of those meets. She (and/or her coach) are either stubborn or a complete idiot! This tactic might work for other runners, it might work against less talented runners for her, but it is not working against the world's best at the top meets for her.
Some people do not learn, maybe she will learn from three failed attempts of this moronic/stubborn tactic against the world's best.
