It has been mentioned. However people are only mildly curious because she's not one of the best female distance runners in the country.
She clearly stagnated while at Oregon, so I'll be interested to see if Salazar (if, in fact, this is all true) can turn things around.

Trust me, Jordan has already proven, and will continue to prove she is one of the finest runners the USA has ever known. Just watch these next couple of years folks. TRUST ME.

I agree. Egun must have short hair and probably a runner, and envious of Jordan's long golden locks. Or else, he/she is a jealous parent. Lots of wackos on this board to be commenting on hair of all things........ ya know what I mean?
Looking at the list of competitors for the 10K in Des Moines I think Jordan definitely stands a chance to make the world team. The fact that she ran marginally strenuous races at NCAA Regionals and only one race at Nationals enables fresher legs and a competitive opportunity. One thing is for certain, Jordan is always in the mix.

AGREED!! She needs to cut the hair! I'm a girl and I think it looks ridiculous on someone her age.

You cannot compare men and women's times linearly like that, because the difference is not linear but closer to exponential. One reason for this is because many of the top women have straighter bodies (ie. bodies shaped more like men) which give them a larger advantage over the rest of the women.
Her hair is her (very cool) trademark. People are just jealous. JH is awesome. And I can`t wait for her to start training and racing as a pro!
Also, most of you are guys. Ask female runners what they think of her, and most will say they like her and that she is an inspiration... because she is fast, smart and very likable!

She does even have the B standard and she will not run a qualifier in Des Moines. She did not run at the NCAA regionals because they no longer exist, she ran at the preliminaries.

You say the "Hasay is graduating with faster times in all but the 5K than Flanagan or Goucher," but that's the problem. Hasay is trying to make it as a long distance runner now. Not a 1500 runner so the key is the 5k pb.
