0/10. I think it's great to see talented people in any arena - math, science, running, poetry, ... - came to the US and improve. And I think it would be great if Lawi decided to continue to compete as a collegian, then become a US citizen, have a successful pro career and set a high bar for kids born here.

It's a worthwhile exercise to go through this results list year by year to see who changed the map and raised the bar.

Bernard Lagat improved greatly in the US under the same coach working with Lawi.

When he breaks 4 world records in different distance events over a 90 day period, he will have a case. Right now the suggestion is ridiculous.

Another good day for your guy. Would have been even better if he had dipped under 13, but he still left Rupp quite a ways behind.

Well lets see, the WR in the 5000 is 12:37; not sure he will break that in college. The Steeple WR is, even taking the more legit versions, is 7:55. He is no where close to WRs in any event, much less breaking some under tough conditions and with no competition (or pacers).

Let's not compare todays WR to Rono's WR. Let's just compare Lalang TODAY to Rono of YESTERDAY.

Could Lalang ever run 13:08 in a dual meet nearly lapping the entire field?

What would Rono have run being hoovered in a race like Monaco today?
