My lighthearted comment about Uceny was hardly "spewing insults." I actually called her the class of the US milers if you were interested in reading and didn't just feel the need to puff out your chest and defend the honor of the old guard.

Here are the results from last year's Olympic Trials final. It seems like Martinez started strong last year as well. Mt. Sac was a great effort for her but she has yet to prove she has the tactical savvy to handle the rounds of a major championship. But maybe this year will be different.

What was happening at the Trials?

BM: I didn’t have any standards [for the Olympic 800 or 1500]. I feel like I was coming around when we had the High Performance Meet in Pasadena but I was starting to get tightness in my ankle. I didn’t think anything of it, but it started to progressively get worse so I was injured for two months, up until the Trials. We didn’t know what it was. We went to different doctors. One said it was tendinitis; another said it was a stress reaction. They didn’t know if it was healing.
