"Acting suspicious"=being brown and running from a bombing...If this guy ends up being innocent, which I think is very likely, the heroic civilian should be arrested.
Lay off the rojo and wejo...they are literally in the middle of a war-zone. I doubt there priorities are "updating the site" which is obviously being overrun right now. They will provide a perspective on this even when the time is right.

Just when you think Boston Marathon story can't get be worse, CNN is reporting that the dead include an 8-year-old child. RIP
FBI just knocked on the door. Were a half mile from finish in an appartment
nikeman (Dave Ross) and I (Stephanie Lowe) are safe. I actually had a bad race and just barely broke 4 hrs. I think the clock was at 4:03ish when I crossed (gun time). Looks like the first bomb went off shortly after.
I crossed the line, grabbed my water/space blanket/medal, got my checked bag and then went to the family meeting area. Right as I sat down, I heard the first bang. Everyone thought it was a cannon or something for Patriot's Day. Then we heard sirens and knew something wasn't right.
Luckily Dave and I found each other. We actually left our rental car at the start. We jumped on the first shuttle back there. On the bus ride, a man in front of me said he was at the 26 mile mark when they stopped the race. He could see the smoke. His wife was in the bleachers, so a cop let him through. He said his wife was fine, but there was a lady in the street with her leg blown off.
I am still in a lot of shock. Glad we are okay, but sad for those who are not.
Please check @BostonGlobe on twitter for more reliable info. They have no suspects in custody at this time. There are a lot of rumors swirling.

They guys will update the site later. There is havoc in Boston right now. Taking care of your family, letting them know you are okay, and helping people not hurt, but traumatized, is priority number one for everyone in the lockdown zone.
The front page of the website is low, low, priority.
Who Tx! You are just one of the people to see this ugly event. The shock is something that can really mess you. I've been through that myself, although not as severe (as many people), and not in an event like Boston (not too many people around).

no suspects in custody doesn't mean no person of interest in the hospital. Maybe so, maybe not. Nothing can be categorically affirmed or denied yet.

I know it is easy to be overwhelmed and sickened in light of a tragedy like this, but if we can glean one positive from this it's the tremendous efforts by the first responders on the scene after the blast. Hearing the accounts of how paramedics, race officials, police officers and numerous civilians quickly organized amid the chaos to treat the wounded and secure the bystanders is inspiring. One news article mentioned a state trooper who, wrapped in a heat blanket having just finished the marathon, heard the blast and immediately rushed back to the scene and helped apply tourniquets to the wounded with what material they could find.
Those that gave their service on the streets of Boston today deserve our upmost respect, they saved lives.

Didn't cry during 9/11. Didn't cry for Newtown. But I can't stop welling up when I think about this. That this occurred at the marathon makes this way too close to home for me. Anyone else feeling like this?

Yes this hits close to home but I'm more mad than anything. I want those reponsible caught and brought to justice. Not vigilante style. The pictures and video images are horrific.

This is 9-11 thinking, the type of thinking that got us sucked into the ME. There hasn't been enough information out. You can't confirm who it was so we don't know what we're the motives/aims of the perpetrator.
Will withhold my "I told you so" for a few days until it's confirmed that this was the work of muslims. Their signature is all over this.
