They also screwed up the South Regional Meet. There were like 4 different "Official Results" in the womens race.....

Does this timing company work with NCAA on a routine basis? Are they a 'preferred contractor' of NCAA and keep getting these races? People are bashing the Louisville organizers for the timing but maybe it is NCAA that is responsible.
I was at the race and thought the organization was fine. With the exception of the womens team results issue, and it was a big issue, I didn't see any other problems.
Maybe the performance of this timing comapany needs to be reviewed before they are allowed to work any further NCAA meets.

A freshman qualifies for Nationals as an individual and finishes in the top 200 and you consider that a 'worst performance'?
You are clearly an idiot.
I suspect this was based off of difference between ranking coming in and their performance not based off of his objective opinion.
I assume they come cheaper than more reputable timing companies. In 10 years of participating and spectating in XC I have never seen so many mistakes in a 2 week period
Exactly! How could it be a disappointment at all? In highschool he was all state in track and cross but never a state champion. I think it's a huge accomplishment that he made it to nationals as a freshman. I don't get at all how his finish was a disappointment by any means
In reguards to the timing company. I've always had a problem with this company. Why the NCAA uses them I don't know. They timed our State Meet for a year but were fired and a local company, perhaps the best company in the country, was hired.
I agree with your comments. Also, how could he have left Matt Melancon off the list. I believe that Melancon was projected at 183 and finished at 96, and second on the Oregon team.
Wow what a thread. This really opens up a great opportunity for every jerk-off who has never done anything to rip their choice of those who have.
Rock on Let's Run!!
So according to Vipam, GoLaura and undefeated freshman, who kept posting on a different thread, the biggest choke would have to be Laura Hollander. Now most of us would find that absurd, since she finished in 9th place as a freshman, which is a great accomplishment. However, the three of them, as well as a few others, basically said nationals were hers to lose and had crowned her the champion mid-season. Some of us posters were more realistic and definitely figured she would be competitive, but were not going to put that much pressure on a freshman in her first ever collegiate season.
The announcer was an idiot (kept saying OK State, as in Oak State); who knew Lalang and Sambu ran for Arizona STATE!Whomever was involved with the scoreboard, including the live feed of the race, knew no bottom.

Biggest choke...hands down the NCAA D1 track & field committee that oversees the meet. There is absolutely no way in hell that Delta Timing should've been hired after that debacle!
Flash Results curiously wasn't a part of any of the NCAA cross country championship meets...how is the best timing company shut out of nationals?
Backroom politics baby...welcome to the corrupt world of American track and cross country
Florida State women.
Craig Lutz from the University of Texas was the biggest choke of this meet. From 33rd last year to DNF in 2012, screwing it up for his team and making the flotrack guys look like fools for picking him pre-season top five.
End of thread.
DNF due to injury is not a choke. We now resume your previously scheduled thread.

HE CHOKED. No injury. It's just a cover up.
Jordan Hasay.
Outkicked.
Again.
you're a prick for that comment

Tell that to this message board the year Fernandez went down.
