Beach had to have known that he was not qualifier for London, so he had no need to beat Eaton. Beach had offered to pace Eaton anyways, so him letting Eaton get the final victory while setting the WR was classy and awesome. If Beach would have been in a position to make it to London, I'm sure he would not have let Eaton win the 1500.
