I think we have all agreed that the marathon is not Ritz's optimal event. Of course, he's never run it smart, knowing his limitations. I also think we have all agreed that Ritz should stay focused on the track. Even Ritz says so. Hall deserves to go to London, no question. But if he can't?

The KEN and ETH runners are going to run ~2:04. What do you want with a 2:09 runner there? Hall is our only hope, a proven 2:04 runner.
Most of what you said was accurate. Kennedy also had the standard that day, but dropped out of the race. Ritz hobbled to a 31:xx 10k and made the team.

Ryan is from Los Angeles where runners don't weep and cry everytime a they run into a few land mines on the way to an Olympic Gold Medal.
Ryan should be able to decide if he thinks he will be able to perform well, and if he doesn't think he will be able too, he probably wont want to take up a spot on the team. In this case, it should be up to ritz to decide.
RH will not run in London and if he does he'll DNF..wanna bet?
People, keep in mind, Ryan had plantar fascitis issues leading up to the Olympic Trials too, IN WHICH HE BEAT RITZ ANYWAYS.
