Levins 2012 versus Rupp 2008. The comparison seems very good to me. If Cam were to run 27:36 it would be ok I guess if it were a tactical race. And 13th in the world, I bet Cam would take that. Coming into 2011 not many people thought he could even be 13th at NCAA's.

that augurs well for his speed but only makes his 5k time a coupla secs faster

his best event currently has to be the 5k
With all that mileage, common sense would indicate he's better at 10k and just has excellent speed. If he gets his peak right and runs Brussels after the Olympics... He'd break 27.

This thread and others on Levins crack me up. Would you guys agree that he is on a steep uphill trajectory since last year. In April, with fast finishes, I believe he was in sub 13:10 and sub 27:15 shape. Maybe by August he will be in sub 13 and sub 27 shape. The guy with the fastest times often doesn't win. Sheesh.
