I went to wesleyan (alma mater of bill rodgers and amby burfoot) from 2000-2004 and I recall an informal naked run across campus each year although I never participated.
By far the most passionate participation was at McGill University(1980's), run by the Engineering faculty and covered by the engineering rag - The Plumber's Pot!
During the February Winter carnival, a playing field was shovelled out of the fallen snow in the main grass area of the central campus. There was a lot of running going on in the cold as teams entered for nude broom ball tournament. Competitors wore boots and swollen hats and scarves but little else. Some of the few females in engineering were participants but generally the women league would make such a fuss that they were quoted and parodied continually in the Plumber's Pot!

UC Davis did a naked mile relay the weekend after track season ended. Started in maybe 2000ish and went for about 8 years. I don't think they do it any more. It generally had about 6 teams competing. I would estimate about 2/3rds of the track team plus maybe 50 to 100 friends would be along the track and in the stands as spectators. It was how we ended our end of season party each year, happened at about 1 or 2 am.
The cops showed up most years, but every time they stayed out of the stadium and just told everybody to go home and let us walk out without hassling anybody. It probably helped keep us from being pepper sprayed that (unlike some other idiots at Davis), we didn't chant "F the Police" in unison and surround them.

My university would walk out to the golf course at night after parties, strip naked, and run an all out half mile. I'm sure it still goes on multiple times a year. We would usually get some of the girls on the team and even just random girls from the party to come out with us and do it. One of the first times I did it, there was about a foot of snow on the ground and people were tackling each other into the powder.

Vicki huber and Villanova at Midnight Florida Relays ( about 2:00 am) was classic.
Inspired by this we held a naked mile run on Ft Walton Beach after the bars closed one spring break night.
Back around 1980 the Keene State College team would streak up and down Main Street in Keene (it was the widest main St. in the US at the time), was done at night one time followed back the apartment by the police.
Is this stuff still going on or a thing of the past?
