Considering that David McNeil destroyed Ritz in the Thanksgiving 5k and McNeil could only run 28:12 last weekend in Australia, this is further confirmation that Ritz is unlikely to make the U.S. Olympic marathon team. I guess you could say that if I were to bet Mitt Romney's $10,000 on the top 3 at the Trials, I wouldn't be puttin' it on the Ritz.
You really don't know anything about marathoning do you? In addition, you surely don't know Dathan at all. I predict top 3 and a huge load of excuses by you as to why he made it. Like others, you clutch to words like "unlikely" among others to provide a safety net for the near future.

I know more about "marathoning" than 99 percent of posters here, and not just from the experience of having broken 2:20 in every marathon I ran, but I may add that the thread about Rupp being entered in the trials shows that most posters have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. I will say that you don't have to have experienced much success at running to know a lot about it, but it is quite the combo when you have posters who have no earthly idea what they're discussing and then they make assertions which are palpable nonsense. Ritz is UNLIKELY to make the U.S. Olympic marathon team, and that is an educated assertion. Does he have a small chance of making the team? Of course, he is one of the most accomplished runners in the field.
And now I shall be vindicated, and the morons, and you know who you are, shall recognize that Ritz will not make the team. Letsrun is a joke for predicting that Ritz will win.

I am again vindicated. My life has become excessively tedious due to constantly being right. Ritz gave it a good shot, I'll give him credit for that, but my insight remains impeccable.
