Shut Up with all the "Team Values" Crap Already

You guys have taken it too far.. but it IS a question of morals, he agreed to be on the team this season, he quit early. Case closed, that's a dickhead thing to do to people that were counting on you.

It's not a Dem/Rep thing, it's certainly not illegal, but it's bad form. Shows a real lack of character. I'm really glad I didn't have "team mates" like many of you guys. I doubt you can be counted on for anything.

If the situation is as it appears on the surface, the LV flaked out 2 weeks before the end of the season, that doesn't reflect very well on him. Certainly it is his choice to make, but it isn't one that seems, from what we know, to be worthy of much respect.

Nicely stated - can we all just agree that LV is a douchbag and/or asshat - nothing more, nothing less.

The piece LV supporters are missing is that, in order for him to make money in Tri or running, he has to develop a brand that will attract customers for his sponsors. Hopefully he learns from this mistake and can turn his image around otherwise he'll have to make more with less.

Interestingly you failed mention a single positive trait. All I hear a person who sees the bad in those he doesn't like. Sounds like a great person to get perspective from.

So the republicans are in favor of honoring our social security and medicare obligations to everyone that has paid into the system? Nope. What about honoring the rules of war and not using torture? Nope. What about being fiscal resonsbile and not running up huge debts? Nope.

Actually, the official line from UO was "Good Luck, we'll keep a spot open for you if you change your mind." Which is a far cry from "Don't let the door hit you on your way out."

You seemed to have misunderstood what I'm saying. He's NOT a world class talent yet. He could get paid like one if someone think that it's worth it to pay him today to have him locked into a contract once he's on top. If he shows that he can't be trusted to stick with what he's agreed to, why would anyone take that risk?

The funny thing is a claim like this cannot be logically made. The statement "morals are relative" is an absolute. All you are doing is supplanting the concept "morals are absollute" with the concept "morals are relative" as the NEW ABSOLUTE. It just cracks me up how many people think they are being even "the most logical" by making this claim all the while realizing it negates itself and fails under its own weight.
