I really think German could be the one. I think he's been taking it easy all year just so he wouldn't get hurt. It'd be fun to seem him go full blast but he will-- as others have already stated-- most likely be conservative for the team victory. But I think he could be 3 easy. I don't see why people find it hard to imagine him in the top 10 when he got top 10 last year. That conference champ victory was a small sign to me that the old German is creeping back slowly. Don't sleep on GF that's all I'm sayin'.

Yes but Hill also just sat on Chelimo who looked like he only ran hard enough to qualify. He didn't blast his usual 4:30 first mile. At nationals he Korir and Lalang will be the 3 that run together and crush the field. I think Diego runs dumb with the Kenyans for a few miles and fades to 20ish.

I was also in attendance at the SE Regional and when Hill kicked it looked like Chelimo completely gave up. Now, he might have known he had already qualified but Hill looked good and I think he could have hung with Chelimo even if he took it guns a blazing from the start.
