debt collections people are pretty bad, but the worst has to be sleazeball salespeople.

I once interviewed for a phone sales position selling people certification courses that were supposed to guarantee you a job (the boss told me they say that). They charged anywhere from $700-1400 for these courses, which were actually free and didn't come with any guarantee of a job. The business was in a building that used to be some other office and they left the signs up. They also had a salesman working sitting in reception as his office. It was the sleaziest thing I've ever encountered.

Why is that sleazy, unless you were stolen or bought from your parents and forced to work on pain of injury/death and pumped up on drugs either through force or influence. Even then, it's the people around you who are sleazy, not you.

Additionally, who are you hurting? Most of the other professions in this thread are ones that do damage (CEO, Big Pharma, lobbyist, etc.). I fail to see who is hurt in your line of work if everything is above board.
