Yeah, it was Baylor being a little bitch. If TX, TT, OK, and OKSt go west, who is left for Baylor to play with? Rice, SMU, and TCU. Well, TCU is good and Baylor just beat the horned frogs, but basically it's the leftovers of the old SWC who have not really prospered.
Yeah, but not just the TX teams think about teams that just moved up to Div I in order to chase the big pay days by sacrificing themselves to the big boys.

I refuse to use those dumb ass monikers the Big Ten uses now, so…
Plains: Neb, Kansas, KState, Iowa, Mizz, Ill, Wisc, Minn
Rust Belt: UM, MSU, NW, IU, Purdue, OSU, PSU, and Pitt/WVU
I like your style.
And the biggie…Boise State. I can’t for the life of me figure out where to put them. Honestly, the PAC should just drop Utah and bring in Boise.
No, drop Wazzu and bring in Boise. Utah has earned PAC 12 membership. I know Wazzu and UW have been traditional rivals and I know Wazzu was an original PAC 8 member, but Wazzu has been in the basement far more often than not in the PAC 10 in the past two decades, they are the Baylor of the PAC 12. How they have built up such a fine program out of nothing over in Boise in a nothing conference (ditto Utah) while Wazzu continues to flounder is a mystery. Wazzu would be a better fit in the Big Sky, Mountain West, or even Big West. With the addition of Utah and possible additions of Oklahoma and Texas, there is never any danger that Wazzu would win even a divisional conference crown in the PAC 16. Ever.

Source?
The one strong school in the SEC is there to give them academic credibility. Only two of the remaining schools are about the last school in the 12-team Big Ten.
However, these ranking are somewhat screwy, as they rank Oregon State as third tier and yet they bring in a ton more research money than other schools, including probably the larger and 'favored' Auburn, fourth-rank within the SEC.

Quick addition. ACC also to make bids for Penn State and Syracuse.
Wow. So Pitt and Syracuse just joined the ACC.
What else do you know?
Wow!

I don't get the possible links to TX schools and OK. UConn and Rutgers mentioned also. Interesting quote from UConn president.
I am tired of seeing second rate teams who have weak schedules in the top ten. The sec needs to invite boise state into our ranks. Vandy and kentucky and ole miss need someone they can beat up on.
