Look, the man just WON ncaas. Over a fantastic field. And he made it look smooth as silk. His kick was devastating and the throat-cut was an appropriate action to his, well, killer speed.

There are too many bitches on Letsrun. Centro's just a kid in college that was hyped to win and showed some emotion. He destroyed the competition and expressed what he felt in the heat of the moment. I wish distance guys showed more emotion when they won. I thought it was awesome. Hell, if you win NCAAs, you may never do it again. Personally, I would do back flips and show the field my ass if it was within the rules to do so or I knew I could get away with it. All you haters need to lighten up and talk some girls for once instead of hating on the keyboard. I don't even like Oregon either.
typical letsrun dribble. To those of you who constantly hate on athletes whenever they achieve something: I get it, whenever you see someone else excel at running you're constantly reminded of your own shortcomings. It hurts you because you lack either the talent or the work ethic to become a runner like Centro. You hate the fact that you came up short and thus despise yourself to some degree. In a sport as quantifiable as running it is painfully clear whenever someone runs faster than you ever did. Therefore, you search for some way in which you can tear down great runners, bring them down to your level. You can't do it on the track so you try to do it on the message boards.
Whats real is what happens on the track. You can vent your frustration on the internet, but it will never change what happens on the track.
I fully expected that this thread was about a murder attempt on Centrowitz. I'm relieved this is not the case, and dumbfounded why people care. Seriously, how is this offensive or inappropriate? People are way too uptight.
For all of you that think this was badass and would do the same or something more vulger if you got the chance . . . I get it; I do. However, you are children and you will learn that actions have cosequences.
I have no reason to beleive that Centro is not a good guy, but he is not a child. He made a mistake today and there will likely be consequences. We will see what he is made of with how he handles this controversy. If he does it right, all will be forgotten and he will be a better man for it. If not, his reputation will be tarnished.
I am hoping he does the right thing, apologizes and handles it with class.
There's an expression in competition that refers to getting peoples' scalps when you are finally able to defeat them. Could it be that Centro was trying to show that he finally scalped the field by winning after falling short a few times before?

Centro isn't anonymous. He's the NCAA 1500 meter champ with a famous athlete for a father. The spotlight shines brightly on him and he needs to know that.
His charecter is going to be tested.
You, however, can go on posting vulger staements on an anonymous message board and no one will care.
