The Hansons are a good team, but by the looks of this team, there is no way they could come close to competing. I for one would love to see them try to compete though.

It would be cool to see more top clubs field a centipede because it's like club cross on steroids. You can compete open in club cross with 5, 7 to be safe. A 'pede takes 13, 15 to be safe. Raises the bar to a whole 'nother level.
I agree that their accomplishment is very impressive.But given how they went about assembling their "team," I suggest that we award them the "Miami Heat World Best 12k Centipede Time".

The centipede exists because none of us locals in the Bay Area could legitimately compete with the world-class runners who show up for Bay to Breakers. So we created a centipede so we could have our own victory dance and make it a fun event. It's too bad Linked In jumped the shark and flew in a bunch of mercenaries from all over. When the centipede was started I think the spirit of the centipede was to see how guys and girls from ONE running club would fare in the race, not an all-star team. Oh well c'est la vie.
