Everyone just needs to worry about themselves.
I find it pretty sad that sometimes everyday runners come on this site to boast about their PR's. Lets be honest, no one really values your sacrifice aside from yourself and the satisfaction you get from running.
Why so much damn drama in the world of running.I find it quite hilarious that absolute strangers have go out of their way to include their own personal negative opinions on other runners. When nate goes to sleep, or another marathoner for that matter, they don't worry about what is being said about them on lets run.
None of us truly KNOW NATE as an individual outside from several interviews and his blog, so to make assumptions about his character based on that is pretty bad.

I didn't know that much about Jenkins, except for reading about his high mileage and goals. My advice to Nate is recover adequately from this race by taking a week or longer off. Regroup, if you will, and start with building up another base for Boston (or London if possible). Boston would be good because of his New England roots. First, he must get 100% healthy before starting a buildup, which could mean as long as a month with light jogging, letting the injuries heal. I don't think that would matter because of his super base now. Also, he could probably use a break mentally from his usual grind. With a good base in Dec-Feb and hills in Feb.-March (if running Boston), I think he could run 2:12... Assuming, a good day weatherwise at Boston, which is always a crap shot. Some good quality tempo/interval workouts after base and hills and I think Nate could do it. He doesn't need Hansons, as good as that group is. Main thing: get healthy!!
