Last spring break I drank more than 100 beers in a week(I counted one day that I was averaging more than 20 a day kept this pace for 10 days give or take a few) but only got about 65 miles (there was no goal there just to get hammered and stay in shape) but I did manage to avoid hangovers by pounding gatorade, running then pounding more gatorade before begining to drink again.

For clarity's sake, I'm going to start calling my friend "Ziggy Stardust." Anyway, Ziggy is sitting here with various dudes who rode the bus over from campus and we're just sitting in front of the fire studying and reminiscing about old times. Ziggy just told his mom about the feat; that was good for a few laughs. Total amount of beers today: 11 and still going. The portrait of our coach is above the fireplace and is looking down on us in utter disgust, I'm sure.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but YP of Edinburgh's Hunters Bog Trotters has previously completed the 100/100/100 ie 100 pints, 100 miles, 100 hours. Now that's impressive.

You are correct - YP did it at the Isle of Man festival about 25 yrs ago. He also did 10 miles/10 pints in 2hrs 3mins (+/-) if I recall.

10 miles and 10 pints in 2hr03 is very impressive. I was on the sweep bike at a local 10 mile race on Sunday and the last finisher was 2hr12!
I wish I would have thought of this in college! Im sure I have done the 100 beers in a week but not sure I could have completed the miles. Thats it im quitting my job and finishing the 100/100. Only after I have completed this will I enter the real world again. Good luck, have fun with this. Soon enough you will be sitting at a computer from 9-5 thinking about it.
i'll second that. i wish i'd have thought of this while i was in school. i can think of 3 guys on the team who would've given this feat their best shot... i'm waiting for the final count from last night.

Problem: I'm pretty sure PBR is below 5.0% abv. I checked this a while back before doing a beer mile and found out that PBR would be unacceptable under Kingston Rules and thus I had to switch to High Life. But, when performing a Bicentennial, I think you can make your own rules. It's like climbing Everest using oxygen tanks. I don't think anyone will look down upon this adventurer for using PBR as his weapon of choice.
Well what did you expect to read when you clicked on a topic with "100+ Miles, 100+ Beers" in the title? Some type of in depth study on the effect beer drinking has on your running? It's just some guys having fun.
