-Leann Warren(beat Mary Decker at Pre in the 800 meters when she was a senior in high school).

-Ric Sayre ran 2:12 at L.A. Has the course record at the prestigious 4th of July run in Ashland(it's really huge).

This entire thread could be interesting but at the same time is pretty silly. Why include Burfoot but leave off Norm Higgins, Johnny Kelly (the younger), Tarzan Brown the Flora brothers,Pfitzinger, and Jan Merril? 100m champ. Lindy Remigino all from CT. Lee Calhoun?

Yeah, he never could win the big ones like Sean Boynes could. Falcon only choked his way to 7 NCAA titles, choked his way to a 3:49 Bislett dream mile win.
