Heats do not count when you are looking at stats (wins). The purpose of the heat is to make the next round, you do not have to win it. So he was undefeated until his lose to KD in the final. Looks like he has adjusted to Gags program well.

i agree with the above post. heats are all about advancing and nothing more, and moreover swami...tell me how did berryhill or rankin do in the FINALS of the 800???

I call running USA nationals and getting second running against the best in the country don't you? He just graduated last summer, now is his time to start getting pro exposure oversees.

Symmonds, nice run. It's a long season. How fast can he go at Nationals/Worlds qualifying? Should be fun to watch.

No one has mentioned that Courtney Jaworski notched a nice mile PR (he ran well in Cub Nats XC too). I imagine he'll stick with the 800 this year, but a move to the 1500 looks to be in the long term. Great guy.

i agree ,, another great white hype. when will people give KD his credit? when will traniere clement get her credit, hazel clark, said had a decent year. some one posted earlier about how only the "white" americans only get blasted in the 5k on up. ha,, what results are you all reading, note KD and hazel are ranked top 10 in the world 800 and up. and they are american born and bread.

the media shows the favoritism. cuz in the eyes of americans,, sprinters are black distance runners in america are white. torres,, hmm kicked some blacks and whites tail at nats... cabada isnt shabby either. as time goes on,, i hope you people eye while open. andrew rock , wariner,, sprinters and they are white.

That was a horrible peace of writing I really could not tell what you were trying to say. Maybe that Americans do not like black athletes? Maybe that Americans don’t like sprinters, or maybe that Americans don’t like white sprinters. I think it may have been one of the least coherent posts I have ever read. Even when people make a lot of typos I can still understand what they are saying. But not with you congratulations for having the worst post ever coherently. Only 1 person has beaten him in the past 3 years in the 800, and that's Khadevis Robinson. At d3 Nationals in track, he won every race he entered.

How many times are you going to post the same thing? I was not criticizing your many typos because I often have typos myself, if I were I could rip apart your recent posts as well. I was saying that your post does not make sense to people trying to read it. Your second did a bit better job but not much. Are you saying that only white athletes get credit in this country? Some one gave Jaworski credit on here for his 4:02 mile PR. I am a big fan of his though I may not of spelled his name right. I am guessing you have a bias for what would be minority runners or that’s what it kind of seemed like. Maybe you don’t as you did mention some of the world’s best sprinters are white. I think athletes are athletes it is one of the things in this country in which it is truly performance based you see great athletes of every race. You also see horrible athletes of every race.

Me and another guy ripped your post cause it was not coherent it did not make sense let alone a point. We could not tell what you were trying to say thus it added nothing and was a waist of your time. When you type just slow down a bit and type one thought at a time.

As for my ability I am training to qualify for the trials right now. No I have not met the automatic standard for it yet I am a few tenths off the B standard that tells you about how fast I am, no I am not one of the greats.

Finally I give a lot of credit to Symmonds he is a huge talent and a clutch racer. At US nationals he was second in his first real race against the big dogs! And the US has some of the best 800M runner in the world he can not be knocked as I think a guy from the US could win worlds in the 800 in a given year. That cannot be argued like you could in the 1500 on up. Proof would be Kummanaker a few years back.

Does this mean since KD and Hazel are top 10 in the 800 they go over to Europe and get blasted in the 5k as well. If so I really need to question the training and racing these guys are doing there is no need to race a 5k maybe a 1500 but not a 5k.

Pro runner, please keep posting. If you keep trying long enough someone will understand what the hell you're trying to say. Maybe it's like the scene from Airplane where we need an interpreter who speaks jive.
