Let's be honest. There's only one way to keep the HR and lactate tests that low at altitude...
A T run at 3000ft after living and training at 8000ft+for 5 years? Let's be honest, you're talking out of your backside...
Yeah, 4:40 pace seems crazy fast for people that run 4:30/17:00; but for a 3:48/12:44/26:33 guy, it literally is threshold pace. It bugs to see people stating their poorly educated opinions as fact, especially when it insinuates something untoward.
Yeah when these vids come out I just scroll to see what the workout was
I’m incredibly glad I’m not a pro runner like Fisher. Some life. Run, fart into your couch, run, fart into your couch. That’s your entire life. That’s it. You run until one day you can’t. And then what? Some life.
Whereas me, I’ve done actual things. Real things. I’ve made art. I’ve made movies. I’ve made love. I’ve traveled everywhere and have had every kind of woman. I’ve lived a real life. I’ve actually made something of myself and can confidently call myself a man
hahahahahaha one of the best troll comments I've seen in a while, literally started cracking up when I read the last sentence.
I would guess his max HR is more like 180 rather than the 191 his age would predict.
The 220-age formula for max HR is not even close to being accurate. At the closet in lab test the 220-age ends up having a standard deviation of +/- 12bpm, and can even up being outside of that range.
, pretty crazy his HR only got up to low-160s despite averaging around 4:40 pace for 2 mile reps. Should be ready for a good one this weekend
Why is that crazy at all?
Low 160s is a totally normally heartrate at LT2 / lactate threshold, and this workout is basically run at his threshold pace (i.e. one-hour max / elite HM).
Looked pretty smooth throughout, pretty crazy his HR only got up to low-160s despite averaging around 4:40 pace for 2 mile reps. Should be ready for a good one this weekend
JFC, if the post is titled "Grant Fisher Pre-Half workout," put the the workout in the fvcking post.
