It means a lot these days when someone passes, and they are universally mourned and celebrated. Thank you for sharing this the way you did. Jeff Galloway offered something to love and respect to just about all runners, fans, and people. The breadth of what he was able to do, and his ability to be an ambassador for the sport to people of all walks of life is truly admirable. It's something we can all respect and aspire to be.

Conversely, Jeff left very little for any person to dislike. The world can use more people like him.

He was a good soul that just happened to be a Champion Runner. He encouraged millions of people to become runners and that type of love and devotion made the world a better place.

The world feels a little more empty with him not a part of it anymore. Rest Easy Mr Galloway.

I had to come to this thread to say that I share the same name as him. I often introduce myself to coaches and get a reaction to the name. The reaction I get tells me which coaches are serious about the sport, as those who give no reaction are the ones we see people complaining about on here. I have to add "not that one" when I see their reaction the first time

On a side note, my mom gave me his book when I was a teenager. I still have it, and have loaned it out to coaches that are new to the sport.
