NY XC 2025 Discussion Thread

Wow, John Jay CR Girls are on the come up again and look to have a huge breakout year for the first time in a while. They have a terrific low stick in S Wasserman and some great underclassmen talent. They will be interesting to watch.

Boys overall rankings:

Ward Melville 1, North Rockland 2.
That’s actually not surprising as Ward Melville had better speed ratings this year. But North Rockland didn’t race last weekend. Both teams have a really good chance to win state and Feds.

At first I was surprised to see Chaminade at only #8, until I saw their speed ratings.

I don’t see Fairport anywhere here, but they haven’t run a real race yet. They are running at Baldwinsville tomorrow. Hopefully they peak at the right time this year.

Someone in the old NY thread said that the new coach is a former sub elite mid distance runner.

Last year they had a sub 9 min 3200 boy, this is definitely a program to look out for in the future.
