Lots of athletes at CU don't like Carlson and want to leave. He acts very nice when he's recruiting you and then he's not nice at all after you start running for him. (Source - One of the CU athletes who just transferred to another school.)

such an odd place. seems like every day I'm reading about a talented runner transferring in then the next day a talented runner transfers out. make up your mind CU, are you a destination or a toxic dump?

Why is CU such a mess? It used to be a destination college; used to be such a great program. Carlson sounds like an awful coach; bait and switch; too friendly with females and on and on and on. Training is awful; everybody is leaving or not doing well. Time for a new coach? I would like to see the Colorado program regroup and do well again.

That's happening because of exactly what I wrote. Carlson is good at getting athletes to go there. But once they're there and find out what he's really like they want to leave. CU will be a constant revolving door until Carlson is let go.

How is that different from any coach in the NCAA? You oversell to get the recruit it’s not rocket science or malicious.
