What personality? I think Sydney's coolness and determination on the track is huge personality. Way more huge than some silly goofy girl next door image.

Coolness and determination? Maybe you're watching a different person. She is boring and doesn't care about the fans and runs only for money, the opposite of Femke
this is a response to loyles, who said the following:
lol yes. and I'm curious why is there no any threads on this board to slash Bol for not running. Letsrun.com your prejudice and discrimination is shown.

Cool! Now let's look at miles traveled one-way to race:
Sydney
LA to Kingston: 2,802 miles
LA to Miami: 2,351 miles
LA to Philadelphia: 2,732 miles
LA to Portland for Pre: 833 miles (not counting the 2-hour drive to Eugene)
LA to Portland for U.S. champs: 833 miles (not counting the 2-hour drive to Eugene)
Total: 9,551 miles
Bol
Heelsum to Apeldoorn: 28 miles
Amsterdam to Rabat: 1,392 miles
Heelsum to Hengelo: 62 miles
Amsterdam to Stockholm: 720 miles
Amsterdam to Ostrava: 705 miles
Ostrava to Madrid: 906 miles
Amsterdam to Nice (for Monaco): 611 miles
Amsterdam to London: 237 miles
Heelsum to Hengelo: 62 miles
Amsterdam to Budapest: 729 miles
Budapest to Pyrzowice: 210 miles
Total: 6,138 miles
Sydney has traveled many more miles and a lot farther away from home than Bol to race. That doesn't even include the 1,600+ miles Sydney traveled from LA to Memphis for the Ed Murphey Classic.

I mean that still doesn’t changed the fact that she has now raced more times. Thank you for the context though.
McRunnin has to be Bobby Kersee. I have never seen somebody go to such extreme lengths to defend McLaughlin and Mu.
When Mu was doing her stupid 3K jogs, he was going of his way to support the stupidity. When she ran 4:21 and then 4:10, he was posting about how huge the improvement was and how she would be in 1:56 shape by the trials. Clearly Bol has run more races this year (and every year) than McLaughlin, so now he tries to argue that McLaughlin traveled more miles than Bol to races. So ridiculous. I'm sure he won't use that argument in 2028 when Sydney travels about 5 miles to the Olympics and Bol travels halfway around the world. I wonder what the excuse will be then? Better start thinking now, Bobby, it's going to be a tough to defend.

You're welcome. Call me crazy, but I think context matters if we're going to make a fair comparison. Bol has the advantage of having DL meets near her home. They're so close to her home she rarely has to cross a time zone.

LOL. Yes, you've figured me out! I'm really Bobby, which is why I've said multiple times that Mu should leave me for another coach.
You're right, Bol should get just as much credit for traveling 720 miles to Stockholm as Sydney gets for the 2,700+ mile trip to Philadelphia. Totally the same thing!
What a childish thread this is. Who raced the most (?) is a stupid question to begin with, but when the answer becomes clear (for this year and previous years), the question suddenly becomes: who traveled the most (?), an even more stupid question.

What is stupid about looking at how many miles an athlete has to travel for competition? Long-distance flights and time zone crossing take a toll on the body. If you were a world-class athlete or the coach of one, would meet locations not be a major factor in how you build your training and racing schedule?
There are lots of meets in the US, just not many elite ones. This is the same for other countries (like Australia, China etc.) too. A lot of the athletes from those countries travel to Europe once and stay there for a couple of meets or some even the entire summer. SML chooses not to do that, which is totally valid choice of course, but that is the main reason it's rare to see SML compete in Europe.
The reason she chose to travel so much this season is because she signed with GST. Again, her choice. A logical choice for her would have been to either stay in Kingston or Miami in between those meets. Instead of joining GST, she could have opted to do the same she has been doing in previous years: run at very few meets and/or low-level meets closer to home.
TLDR; It's stupid to compare number of races/meets when they('re coaches) have different tactics, which are valid in both cases. It's stupid to compare miles traveled, because outside of nationals, a lot comes down to personal preference (about traveling, staying abroad) and choices made.

Yes, I agree both choices are valid. Both Sydney and Bol (and their coaches) do what's best for them, and it's hard to argue against the results they've achieved.
That said, if people here choose to engage in a conversation about these athletes' racing schedules (which has been a recurring discussion topic on this board the last several years), then looking at miles traveled is absolutely a relevant factor to consider. Traveling from LA to the East coast of the US or beyond is not the same as traveling within one time zone in Europe.
Even if Sydney didn't go back to LA in between GST meets, we're still looking at Kingston to Miami (nearly 600 miles, which is comparable to Bol going to Monaco), Miami to Philadelphia (over 1,000 miles), and Philadelphia to LA (over 2,700 miles). Those miles add up, and they matter when thinking about Sydney's racing schedule.
