Hailu is up on Hiltz 12 pts to 8pts after the 1500. Can Hiltz come back with a strong 800? Will somebody else win the 800 and take the overall slam?
Ngetich held off Eisa in the 5000 on Friday for 12 pts to 8 pts. Can she do it again in the shorter 3000?
Fisher waited too late in the 3000 this time and was outkicked by Coscoran. Fisher is clearly the class of this field in a fast race, but is he willing to take it out hard from the gun? Will Kwemoi or anybody step up and go with him?
I don't care much about the sprint events, but it's worth noting only Dos Santos and Bednarek have yet to lose a race at GST on the men's side, and both are up today. Same with Sydney on the women's side.
Does anybody find the weird drone segments engaging? They seem more like a nuisance more than anything.
Thank god for the african ladies. that played out really awesome. I need to be able to put together names with faces. I didnt' really know who was who and what the points deal was, outside of Ngetich.
Grand SLam actually doing a good job with points stuff this time around, I'm just not up on the comp very well.
That 3,000 was a hell of a race, but they still need to figure out a way to do the live results quicker, especially towards the end of the race. Might just be an announcing issue. Took way too long to get confirmation.
Hats off to Ngetich though - very fun to watch her compete
Cranny has talked in length about how she has gone through training periods with RED-S where she is all the sudden running terribly for weeks, but sometimes it leaves as fast as it comes on.
Hoping in another 4 weeks she can turn it around and stick her nose in it more!
