Well then, I guess you want us to start reminding everyone on everyone of her threads who is now the official poster girl for this dude’s ‘supplements’?
Solid race for Tuohy and I’m happy to see it, but a little puzzled by all the “Tuohy is back!!” when she ran 15:07 and a windy 4:26y last summer. She had a significant injury and it rendered her first year as a pro “meh,” but she was never dead in the water or anything. Of course, she should put up some PBs this year with (fingers crossed) a longer stretch of healthy training.
Did I see 1/2 the women (including Touhy) run a 2 turn stagger?? According to the results, it was only supposed to be 1 turn. The pro men ran 1 turn stagger. If so, then Touhy and a bunch of the women ran extra distance.
Great race! I thought Nielsen might have a shot at this pre race. She is a 2:00 800m runner so great job by Tuohy holding her off at the end. So is Tuohy going to double at millrose then?
I would doubt the double. She looked a bit rough to me running 33s, tho of course it is early in season. But a win is a win is a win....
After reviewing the race, you’re right. She was grimacing, particularly that final lap. Hmmm…
Oh well, early season. But interesting to see.
Kudos to the collegiate runner for being right there with her!

I don’t get the enthusiasm. Tuohy ran faster at this same meet TWO YEARS AGO while in college.
1s faster and for 3rd place, compared to a win today. She went on to run 8:35 at Millrose 2 weeks later, which is still her best performance to this day (worth ~14:45). This race shows she's in close to the best shape of her life, which means she's headed in the right direction. That's worth getting excited about imo.

Nah. There’s nothing exciting about a PROFESSIONAL running slower than she did in college. I get she was injured last year but she’s had all fall and all winter up to now to train professionally. No more excuses for running slower than she did in college.

It was a 2-turn stagger. No cone at the beginning of back stretch but there was one where they cut in.
Tuohy could have been DQed for stepping on the line on the second turn. It looked like at least two steps on the line.

Really? I just saw a blurb in the past 24 hours regarding a clampdown on DQ’ing for stepping on or over the line on the turn.
