Do we still think Nordas is an obvious doper, or is it ok to root for him now? I just want McSweyn to get a big win for once. Always nice to see Grijalva up there too.
I’m curious why Hiltz is on a different level than all of the third row. They haven’t run significantly faster than the rest? I guess their kick is the best, but Hiltz usually just plays it safe.
Mackay taking a big swing at worlds should at least be on the same level as Hiltz.
Hiltz has the best kick and has run 4:16 for the mile. Johnson MacLean and McGee are close in the kick but not in that shape yet…MacKay is probably in around Nikki’s fitness but hasn’t matched the kick. So I don’t know you could probably lump them pretty close, but Hiltz seems a bit ahead.

I mean obvious is strong, but his story is strange and we can leave it at that. He himself is an odd guy, but credit to him not giving up despite making 5-6 tactical errors in the last 800 of that race.

Was rooting for McSweyn too. He’s never been the same as after he got that heart condition post Covid/vax/whatever it was. He’s done amazingly well to get back to where he is, but I personally don’t believe he’ll ever be seriously competitive again. I’d love to be proven wrong, as I admire his guts.
Rooting for McSweyn, hope he at least beats Nordas
Nope, no sign of him. Great race overall tho as there were 10 all there at the bell.
Was okay from McSweyn, much better than Oslo 1500 but as we know he doesn't have the kick of the others even though he was there at the bell. Looks like he'll focus on 5000 this year and maybe for the foreseeable future

The 1500 has just gotten so much better than McSweyns peak of 2021 let’s say. In those days being in 3:29high-3:30hi guy consistently meant top 3s on the circuit. Now you’re in a group of about 10 guys who can do that behind 3 guys who can go way faster.
If you think his story is strange, then you need to look better at it. He has runned about 185km for every single week in the last 7-8 years. He has not been sick or injury in 4 years. He has one of the best coaches in the world, and he found out late that his best distance was 1500m. But one thing are you correct in he is a odd guy.-
