Made playoffs. Lost to Knicks in conference finals.
That's perfect. Bulls were a B+ team without Jordan...A+ without.
Was this your point?
A+ with rather.
The reason Lebrons teams didn't do well without him is because to have him and the players that worked with him they had to gut the roster. As Bobby Knight told Portland's GM, draft Jordan and play him at center- Jordan could play with anyone. When he left, the Bulls still had a viable core, Lebron's teams were tailor made for him. He was the system whereas the Bulls had a system in place regardless of who was on the roster.
Still it's foolish to compare Rembrandt to Van Gogh.

Where do you get the “much superior athlete” nonsense. Having watched both eras. There’s no difference in athleticism. None whatsoever.
Okay do you want me to use running as an example? Don't be obtuse.
Actually you know what. Show me one player from the '80s or '70s or 90s whatever that has a prime lasting as long as LeBron's?
You do realize in the '80s the NBA was damn near all cokeheads that smoked cigs after the game lol
Meanwhile we got 6'11 giannis taking 4 steps to cross the entire court moving like a guard lol. In the '80s and '90s a guy of that size would have his back to the back basket in the paint. Some of you guys either only watch basketball in the '80s/90s are you guys never actually played real basketball.
We have wemby at 7'4 shooting step back threes lol stop
Giannis is a shorter Wilt. Wilt’s more athletic. Wemby is a fragile buster. He’ll be hurt for most if his career. He’s on a losing team
Sit down kid. You have no idea what you’re talking about.
That's hilarious. Not even close to being from the foul line. Unless you consider having your foot COMPLETELY over the foul line to be from the foul line.
Let me chime in. I graduated high school 1996 and played high school ball and AAU.
Jordan not winning outside of Bulls and Phil Jackson is his downfall. For Lebron to win in Miami and most importantly in Cleveland, and if you don’t understand what he did and how he did it, I can’t help. Game respect game. MJ could not win without Phil and Scottie. He couldn’t even make the Finals. I reference Brady. Many of you would say he’s GOAT. Well, Lebron is the closest to Brady winning with two teams and having the all-time records.
We used to play ball 24/7 and we all would quote Jordan fouls or “don’t be Jordan” when hogging the ball. Lebron was basically Magic with more scoring ability and athleticism.
Brady’s considered the GOAT because he won 7 championships. A big issue with LeBron is he “only” won 4, compared to Jordan’s 6.
You give him LeBron extra credit for winning with different teams. I dock him for it. LeBron forming a super team with Wade and Bosh, then another super team with Kyrie and Love, followed by teaming up with Anthony Davis would have been like Jordan bailing on Chicago to join forces with Barkley and Thomas, then going back to Chicago to win with Pippen and Kemp, and then teaming up with Garnett. Ridiculous!
Remember when LeBron joined the Heat, the expectation for that team based on the talent they assembled was to win multiple championships. LeBron himself said “not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7.” For him to only win 2 championships with Wade and Bosh was a disappointment.
It’s more difficult to win championships year after year after year with one team because you have to navigate fatigue, complacency, egos, and aging. In LeBron’s case, whenever those difficult challenges would emerge, he would just leave his costars behind and find younger ones. Advantage Jordan.
You said he couldn't do it, I found you the clip and your still throwing shade. You are one of those fans that can't appreciate both of their abilities and understand they are both all time greats.

No one docks any #1 athlete for winning the other two different teams: it’s a truism in Premier league; NFL; NHL; NBA. It’s beyond comprehensible calling your shot to win for your home town. Michael tried and failed. Period. Your bias shines.
How did the Bulls do the season Jordan left to go play baseball?
Should we address how James cramped his way out of a championship when Jordan practically sealed a championship while playing with a terrible flu?
Only if you address being swept in round 1 twice first.
Also one person can be sick and another person can be a totally different kind of sick that is definitely possible lol. This is the type of criticism LeBron has had to deal with his entire life unlike literally any other basketball player. It's impossible for you guys to prop Jordan up while just purely hating on LeBron. I love calling it out.

The NBA hasn’t been the same since John Havlicek retired. No one played the game like Hondo. Of course Rick Barry and Dan Issel have to be given consideration as well.

Getting swept by Celtics team with 4 Hall of Famers starting isn't that big of a strike against Jordan.
Lebron doesn't get as many votes because he's got the charisma of a wet fart. In 50 years when he's long dead and people forget what an insufferable douchebag he was he will get more credit in the GOAT conversation.

That's not fair and also not true.
Do you not notice how I always put in a tidbit about how much I love LeBron before addressing Jordan?
They are both among the greatest ever. But having watched Jordan and having watched LeBron, nobody can do or has done the kind of dunks that Jordan invented in the air.
Yes. I have a bias for players who win multiple championships with one team. As I explained, that’s more difficult than forming super teams.
Jordan never played for his hometown team. He’s originally from NYC. I’m sure he could have won championships with Ewing if he wanted to.
No. He could not have. That’s like saying Bekele could have won Gold in the Marathon if he wanted to.
stop trying so hard to defend a man who has been surpassed.
Sure he could have. The 1992-1993 Knicks won 60 games and made it to the conference finals, where they lost to the Bulls. The next year they won 57 games and had a 3-2 lead in the NBA Finals. It’s fair to say upgrading from John Starks to Michael Jordan at shooting guard would have pushed them over the top.
It’s also fair to say Bekele could have contended for marathon gold in 2016 if he had been allowed to run. He ran faster than Kipchoge had ever run at that point just a few weeks later.
But you’re right: we should focus on what actually happened rather than what might have happened. What actually happened is Jordan dominated more than LeBron.
