I already know with 100 percent certainty who is dirty and who is “half natty” (half natty= professionals who cry about strict drug testing often in western countries without connections for corruption , and resort to microdosing on their best days). But if you asked me who I could expose to the public , it would be Usain Bolt.
Kipchoge/Bolt.
Kipchoge. Bolt's already a foregone conclusion -that entire team was (is?) dirty and he's miraculously the only guy that doesn't piss hot? Mmm, no.
Jakob, SAFP, Tuohy
Bannister ; Doctor in post war Uk when uppers were popular with the educated classes.
Anything from 1960/70 onwards I think I know .
Why no love for Paula Radcliff?

The one that would make the most delusional people cry boo hoo, Jim Ryun.
Competed and dominated in an era with no testing, even in competition. Here comes testing in Mexico City and suddenly oops he's slow now. Lots of mental gymnastics about that with a lot of people.
You really believe Jim Ryun was doping as a high school kid in Kansas? Tell us you're an idiot without telling us you're an idiot.

Agreed about Bolt. But Kipchoge is equally clear: about as dominant, and his coach got already two of his athletes popped recently.
I'd go with Coe. Also a foregone conclusion, but that would maybe finally change WA's laissez-fair attitude towards doping.

Let me guess: you have never seen a high school in Kansas.
But yes, Ryun would be interesting, as that could go either way.
I would go with Kipchoge, for the maximum benefit to the sport. If he's clean, well then anything is possible. If he's dirty, we know the sport is a farce and nothing can be believed.
However, there are quite a few runners that I would prefer to choose over Kipchoge to satisfy my own curiosity, specifically some of Shelby's peers.

- Assume the public knows you received this power and HAS TO accept what you find out (and you are required to truthfully share it). Basically, these message boards can't be full of posts saying you're lying or "how can we trust the magic actually worked?"
- You would also learn how each instance of PEDs got in athlete X's body (for the cases like Shelby's, Gatlin, Ajee Wilson, etc.), and where they got it from. This could potentially expose a dirty coach / agent as well.
- You can pick an active or retired athlete.
- WA and any other organizations are still free to do whatever they want after learning this information. They will also treat it as fact.
Curious how many people here would use this power to go after something they think was doping vs. try to prove their favorite athlete was clean? Keep in mind, the answer you get might be the opposite of what you were hoping for!
I wouldn’t use the power and instead just let it idle on the shelf.
ooo this is gonna be tough but i'm gonna go with someone who can no longer be tested first. I received inside knowledge about sprinting in the 80s/90s so I already know who was doping; whether it was conventional or unconventional. I'm going to go for distance: El-G. I am not an El-G hater in fact I am one of the biggest believers that he was clean and the reason for his success was due to hard work. With that being said, looking at the training he did makes you wonder "how tf could someone train like that and not be totally burnt?". It has been reported that El-G went crazy hard in training and never took an "easy day". Was this possible because of crazy work ethic, or could he train as hard as he did because of a drug habit that was protected by the institutions at the time? I would like to know but since it has been years since retirement, his samples can no longer be tested, we prolly won't. I think he would come out clean but like I said, we'll never know. For a more contemporary pick, everyone at OAC. They're even more secretive about their training than bowerman is and its not crazy to think that a former NOP athlete would use the same tactics as his now disgraced coach. I would have gone with NOP(Rupp or Farah) but I think we all know what they did in regards to the L-Carnitine and Testosterone. I would also be lying if I didn't acknowledge that Farah is a hero of mine and the athlete that got me into distance running when I saw his double at London 2012. Deep down, I know that he was most likely doing shady things and wouldn't use the power to find out something I already knew.

This is silly. All of the top runnners have and do use peds. All of the nfl nba players as well
Kipchoge or Lagat. My two all-time favorite athletes. Lagat has a big red flag with his positive A-sample, but I would really like to believe he was still clean. Kipchoge doesn’t really have a lot of red flags besides being Kenyan and running so fast, but given his mentality, personality, and lifestyle, finding out for certain he was clean would really give me a lot more faith in this sport.
