The headline is correct. Trans women don't want to compete against biological males anymore than than trans women don't want to be required to wear jeans and ties. The bill and Tucker's bS arguement is really about not allowing trans women to compete AT ALL. You know it...the GOP Knows it. To call if 'fake news" is also stupid. No one is talking about the woman who got a ride in the car during the race, but I understand she didn't really want to finish the race.
I'm all for transgender men/women/in-between being able to honestly express their inner feelings and not being prejudiced or persecuted for it, but when it comes to physical sports, I cannot see how it is possible to respect the rights of both cisgender women and transgender persons at the same time.
Trans-activists may unintentionally be making things worse. The message told to transgendered individuals- particularly youth- is that if your sport/state doesn't allow you to compete in a category that doesn't align with your biological sex, then your sport/state hates you and doesn't want you to compete at all. But that is a lie! You still have as much opportunity as anyone else to compete and do the sport you love. So do it!!

Your framing suggests that in your eyes, the only people whose wants matter here are the males who no longer want to compete against others of their sex. You seem to think that what female people want, and don't want, doesn't count at all - that when it comes to gender identity ideology being used as a mechanism to force males into women's and girls sports and spaces, female people get no say.
When the question is who should make the decision about how the athlete competes, I think the answer should come from the athlete, not anyone else.

It's like if someone gets asked out on a date, and they say "no" or "yes." Their opinion matters more than the person who asked them, or any other person's for that matter. We are autonomous beings who should be able to govern our own lives, not have Congress make our decisions for us.
This discussion is the third rail, but I really don't understand how common sense doesn't prevail. There are open mixed heats of races, of course road races/tris are the same way. Do elite female swimmers or runners REFUSE to compete against or train with biological males of equal ability because it would make them less of a woman? Female basketball players? No, Caitlin Clark has been know to go to gyms in Iowa and school men and women recreational players for fun. Hellen Obiri we heard had male pacers dropping like flies (due to injury) trying to pace her in workouts in Boulder.
At the highest level of college and pro athletes, there should be a space for biological women to compete against the best of the best biological women. There doesn't need to be a space for trans athletes to over-perform (place-wise) relative to their natural abilities vis a vis their biological sex. Why does Lia Thomas NEED to dominate biological women? She's racing in a lane against the clock. Most of us are content to strive to be our best vs. the clock. Most of us are not good enough to win, and the solution is to keep pursuing your best not changing who you race against in what might be an unfair way. Anyone who says Lia Thomas couldn't compete if she wasn't allowed to be in the female category is just lying in my estimation. What's really the excuse if the name of the non-female category was changed to "Open?"

Alright then, what if this hypothetical able-bodied athlete wants to compete as a para athlete? By your logic, the other para athletes in the race should have no say on this as it's down to the athlete. And if it's not ok to insert yourself into categories for disability or say, weight class, then why is it ok to do so for the female category? One of the main issues with this whole debate is that so many of the people supporting bans on trans athletes really don't cate about women's sports, they just get off on bashing trans people. When a leading expert on the pro ban side goes off on a random twitter rant comparing trans people to inanimate objects it's giving his opponents a wide open goal to make the argument that supporters of this ban are dehumanizing trans folk.

The institution intends to create a society of generally losers because these people are the exact demographic which is desperate and reliant on the government, culminating in the most important fact that they are obedient and bound to the rules of the institution rather than a threat to overthrow them like strong independent thinking men would be.
