I graduated high school in the mid-late 2010s. I can think of about 6 people who (constantly) talked about lgbt people, and they all ended up 'coming out' by the end of high school.
It's 2023, nobody cares about your sexuality at a college. Most young Republicans don't either
thank you, i appreciate it. read the entire thing
Incredibly tone deaf and douchey response
You’ve had some good answers in this thread. I believe about 10% of our team, including myself, had the same experience - slightly more for women and less for men. It was recently but I felt like everybody supported me. Just read the N. Young thread from last August - most responses were positive especially if you look at the upvotes

Is OP update?
Good luck. I've had that with exercise as well.
Running is good, it's o.k. But I think a least some of us are looking for relevancy through running. There might be better ways to find it.
Believe me, everybody feels depressed at times, but life is completely worth living. Stay healthy bro

title. i'm only 18, on my college's team, and running (and on occasion parties) is basically the only time i feel happy. i'm nothing special of a runner (not close to the NCAA meet at all) but have run in the upper 14s and really enjoy training. other than that though, i feel pretty depressed. i also think i'm bi and am not sure if i'll be accepted if i'm out
When Sigmund Freud arrived in America for the first time, someone asked him what his goal was. He responded, "To figure out the difference between mental illness and ordinary misery." So...bear in mind that life has its ups and downs, and that it is common to go through extended periods where you feel joyless, or take little pleasure in most activities.
Depression is a medical condition. It is also treatable. If you think you have it, it's always a good idea to consult a medical professional for a diagnosis.
It's also pretty common. If you get a positive diagnosis, you have many options for treatment. Medication (particularly SSRI's, like Prozac), meditation, and therapy are three particularly useful options that you may want to consider.
Edit: I meant to add, being gay or bisexual is really not that big of deal nowadays. And you do not have to be "out" or open about it, especially if you feel inclined to experiment. If that is the case, the one thing you must absolutely do is be safe in your approach (both physically--use protection and do everything you can to make sure you know and trust your partner) and mentally (do not judge yourself for having an attraction to the same sex, seek groups that offer support to individuals who are comfortable with those feelings, and take care not to make decisions on impulse). It's normal not to know who you are. You have the rest of your life to figure it out.
depression is a medical and a psychological condition
Also you might add some beans and broccoli into your pasta to boost the micro and macro nutrients
Add beef and eggs as well
Beef is the best form of animal protein and tastes great too

Deep depression, let alone suicidal thoughts, about his (innate) sexuality is far worse than not being straight
