The great majority of the Atlantic Slave Trade destinations went to Brazil. Almost 6 million. Argentina received less than 100,000. See the difference?
How much of the Atlantic Slave Trade did Canada have? Yet there are 1 and 1/2 million blacks in Canada, presumably as a result of neighbouring the USA. Were Ben Johnson and Andre De Grasse's ancestors taken to Canada on a slave boat?
No, and "presumably" not from America. It really doesn't take heavy lifting to look it up. But that's too much for you isn't it?
Black Canadians (also known as Caribbean-Canadians or Afro-Canadians) are people of full or partial sub-Saharan African descent who are citizens or permanent residents of Canada. The majority of Black Canadians are of Caribbe...

Poor assumptions. Black immigration to Canada is not simply spillover from the US. There are various communities with different origins in different cities including French speaking people from Africa. For the most part they are middle class and not subject to the same level of racism as in the US.
Canadian racism is mostly directed at the natives who are typically poor and have a number of social issues.
The first immigrants were spillover from the Revolutionary War and then the underground railroad.
You will find old farming communities that are largely dying out at border points that are result of this.
Quite a few famous Black Canadians are from these communities such as Ferguson Jenkins and Floyd Sneed.
After that Anglo-Caribbean immigrants arrived and then Haitians and Africans. The largest group of Black Canadians aren't the original settler diaspora but these other groups. The original settlers and their descendants were in a similar situation to Argentina where many of these communities were dying out due to intermarriage and moving away from farming.
There was large-scale German emigration to South America in the 19th century. The Volga Germans were a large part, having found life in Russia no longer attractive after having been invited there the previous century. Then there was also a lot of Spanish and Italian immigration. From the 17th to the 19th centuries, African slaves were brought to Argentina as well. In the 20th c. there was a good deal of immigration to Argentina from other South American countries, though Brazil is not listed as a major source. Argentina also has the largest Jewish population in Latin America.
This link includes many books on what became of the black population of Argentina.
Argentina is a horrible country, full of Nazis. The national mentality is full-on national superiority (go figure). It's not surprising in the least that they continue to oppress Black-Argentinians.
I'm 63 years old and have traveled a lot in my life, including 2 extended mountaineering trips to Argentina with time spent touring in the cities as well. In addition, my closest cousin's sister married an Argentinean guy; I was at their wedding and have spent a little time with him and some of his friends/family over the years. Virtually without exception Argentinian males have proven to be the most arrogant and unpleasant pr*cks I've ever met; the self-importance, lack of self awareness, the casual racism and misogyny of these a**holes was just off the charts. Out of all the people I've met in my life and travels my least favorite by far. Just my .02 of course.
I grew up in Latin America and I would say that most of the rest of the Latin America agrees with this. The feeling is that Argentines consider themselves superior because they are "European" and don't have indigenous blood. So they are "European wannabees".
I can't recall ever seeing a black person playing for Argentina. I know Argentina has a less multiculturally vibrant and diverse population than Brazil. Presumably they have a racist immigration policy, or else a racist selection policy. They neighbour Brazil, a significantly poorer country. Surely millions of black Brazillians would want to move there?
Not many of African decent and Argentina is racist as hell. In Argentina, the whiter you look the better. Natives and others are discriminated against.

You are mad because they don’t approve of your homosexual lifestyle. you are intimidated by their masculinity.
Why does Mexico never have black players? Korea? Japan? Croatia? Serbia? Tunisia? Morocco? Australia? Poland? Iran? Wales? Denmark? Uruguay?
Even EU bookends Spain & Portugal have trouble fitting in the minimum quota of black players. Why?
And to the people saying Argentines think of themselves as European and thats not PC, a sign of arrogance and microagressions, blah, blah.... its not like they're the only ones in SA. This is also the case for Uruguay. Even more so actually. And to some extent Chile as well.. The ugly truth is that its also the case in Brazil. Southern Brazilians are very attached to their Euro roots.
You are a clown show. No one is afraid they are losing a place in society. It is just the wacky way the left is going about things. When you see race in everything you truly have race issues. Just love your life and love people. Stop worrying so much what their race is. The indoctrination to teach young people that race is so important is quite honestly racist.

Samuel Ball was a feed American slave who settled on Oak Island in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. Despite being a simple cabbage farmer, he ended up being the most wealthy person in Nova Scotia.
Has there ever been a great t&f athlete out of Argentina ?
That should tell you there is miniscule black presence in Argentina.Brazil won 5 World Cups with mostly African descent players. It is like here in the US,without blacks the US will be as relevant in athletics as Argentina.Any South,Central American country, all the great athletes are of African descent.

By your logic Brazil should be a track powerhouse. They most certainly are not.
