Iga Swiatek (the current world number one) is a great player. But there will be 14 and 15 year old boys who could beat her. Older than that, they are too fast and too strong.
Faith Kipyegon ran 3:51.07 for 1500m last year. That would have ranked #2209 among men. There were far fewer men (under 500) who ran the mile faster than Sifan Hassan (4:14.74) because mile is not raced as frequently as 1500m.
What website has a listing of men's 1500 times all the way down to #2209?

I’ve always felt that Serena Williams probably would be closer to the top of the “overall” rankings in her sport than just about any other woman in their sport.
Ledecky swam 15:35 for 1500m last year. That would have ranked #85 in the world ... among men. Her WR in 2018 (15:20) would have ranked #72 in that year.
But if you include some niche sports, there are women even closer to the top men. Alexandra Trusova scored 106.16 for TES in the Olympic free skate. Only two men (Chen and Kagiyama) scored higher in men's free skate. If you adjust the PCS to the same scale (men's PCS is out of 100 and women's is out of 80), her total free skate score would also rank #3 among men. And this is not even the highest score a woman received. Valieva had 109.02 at Rostelecom Cup. (But of course, she was a "doper" so you can disregard her score.)
Could well be. In super long triathlons, like 10xIronman and that type of range, I’ve heard the same thing, that women win the races overall and hold the records. With the caveat that the field of competitors must be pretty small at that point, one wonders if there’s a line in any distance activity after which being female becomes an advantage.
There isn’t. It is a myth created by low participation numbers.
I was going to say Appalachian Trail running is close, where the women's record was about 1% slower than the men's, but then Karel Sabbe (male) knocked 5 more days off the record in 2018. So that leaves us with "living", the ultimate endurance event, in which women are clearly superior.
