Looks to me that the ones that stayed cool and kept eating the burritos performed well. Centro for sure got spooked by the gf getting popped.

Frerichs - Silver, Silver
Ahmed - Bronze, Silver
Jager - Bronze
Infeld - Bronze
Flanagan - NYC Marathon Champion
Hill - Silver (indoor)
For what it's worth he's had a few 4th places (Teg, Houlihan, Ahmed). I'm not strongly on either side of the argument here, but compared to the hype BTC gets and how long Jerry has coached, does the medal count fit the bill? He certainly produces more than most track clubs and develops talent very well, but I find myself expecting a bit more. He seems very stuck in his ways about his system. I'm not some world-class coach, but I feel he needs to tweak a few things with his athletes to minimize injuries and not burn them out with his infamous altitude camps.
Of the above I love how he's developed Frerichs and Ahmed. It seems like he got Jager, Infeld, and Hill to world competitive level, but only temporarily. He did well with Flanagan, even with her having to navigate knee problems and eventually needing surgery.

Even Courtney's race was poorly handled from a coaching standpoint. Her acceleration was too sharp and aggressive and cost her a gold IMO. As a coach I would emphasize a smooth and strong turning of the proverbial screw.
She came 1 lap from pulling a Billy Mills and you're criticizing the coaching? Tremendous, A+ all around with her.
Pulling a Billy Mills is outkicking the opposition when you're the huge underdog. She pulled a Pre if anything.

FACT:
Jerry has had more runners test positive for PED's than Alberto Salazar has.
His runners failed miserably, for the most part, in Tokyo.
You mean more runners to test positive outside the Nike testing facility, which Sal relied on to keep his runners technically clean.
Ahmed became great under Jerry's tutelage, as did Frerichs (coached by Shalane as well).
Fisher had a very good Olympics and would have been better without the calf issue that popped up in the 5000m heat. Unsurprising for that to happen with a double in that weather.

nah, there is a fair point in here and it's that she ran out of gas on the last lap. so I don't think you can say A+, but obviously was overall a great strategy for her and a demonstration of amazing fitness.
Yes.
My critique was in light of 20/20 hindsight, in the future I would recommend she move a half lap later and/or a slightly less sharp attempt to gap. In the moment I I thought she had completely botched it but her toughness carried her to the silver. If she ran A+ she could have at least challenged Chemutai to the line.
Nothing in her season until that race indicated she could medal, much less in such dramatic fashion. I thought Doha might be her career moment but this was next level.

Centro, trash. Likely hurt or burned out.
Karissa, burned out.
Cranny, more burned out than even Karissa.
Houli on the juice.
I could go on.
No one has had a worse 60 days than Jerry Schumacher. Centro was clearly cooked, or injured during the semi. His stride looked like he was broken. Centro was his prize.
Jerry should be fired immediately following this absolute embarrassment of an Olympic performance.
Whataya know. The only person in the squad who actually races internationally medaled. Huge mystery.

Yeah if only Nike's single remaining domestic flagship team that is based in the same city as Nike HQ had the same access to the facilities as the previous flagship group.

Dumb comparison. Jerry has been out it for YEARs now. A decade plus.
Let's fire this guy and bring back Alberto
