She was removed from the 400 and not the 200 by World Athletics. The 400 is a restricted event for DSD athletes, the 200 is not.
It isn't just about T levels, it is high T, plus a diagnosis of a handful of very specific DSDs, plus WA's opinion that the athlete's body is capable of using that testosterone, that it is having a "material androgenizing effect" on the athlete.
World Athletics will use her performances here to justify restricting the 200 next year. Whatever events she performs well in, they will be restricted.
Was staggered that it was such a limited range of events restricted. To say the shot would have not been influenced by T is utterly stupid.

Also, when people say this is all a result of a ‘farcical’ 800m in Rio - the only thing that was farcical was how poor the competition was! Niyonsaba and Wambui have PBs the same as the likes of Goule, Mu, Almanza, Reekie, Muir, Bishop, Grace etc. The only reason they dominated in 2016 was because the standard of 800m running was so poor.
If it’s such a crazy advantage I’m still waiting for someone (other than Semenya) to run faster than a 19 yo American who has never completed a pro season.

I actually stopped watching the women 800m after Caster was banned. It was just not very interesting to look at women trying to break 2min. I started again this winter when Mu started to run well. Since then, I only watch the 800m women races where Mu runs. She made it exciting again.

Nah, someone in this situation would never be allowed to get this far in a lot of countries.
Namibia have obviously planned this. They knew full well the status of these athletes and that's why they unleashed them at the very last minute before qualifying ended so that the authorities had as little time as possible to make a ruling on them.
Thankfully they were excluded from the 400, but that hasn't stopped them completely.
Cynical stuff from the Namibians but I guess it's a big deal to them.
