I tell you about timing. Just recently they bragged she was very popular on social media. There goes the future endorsements.

Also the law itself isn't systemic racism but rather how the court system has punished individuals that violate it. I think you're confusing crack vs cocaine with weed....
Are you seriously denying that systemic racism is not a factor in this positive testing for Richardson? After all that has happened in America in the last year, you still deny this?
I seriously hope your joking. You realize USATF didn’t ban her. This decision will come from WADA. Not sure if you’re aware, but the “W” in WADA stands for WORLD. So by your logic the whole world is racist? Yup it was our racist country that forced her to partake in an illegal substance. Completely logical.

Is weed really performance enhancing? Why is it even on the banned list?
Right. How does marijuana make you run faster. Especially if you are smoking it.
It definitely has recovery benefits. Weed should 100% be legal and it’s a joke that it’s still considered a banned substance, but she knew the rules. Just sucks that she couldn’t lay off the reefer for a few months at the least.

It’s another example of white supremacy.
Blacks love to smoke dope.
You know every ghetto black in NFL and NBA smoke dope.
Richardson is full ghetto; is anyone really surprised?
Can we not call Black people ghetto?
Absolutely ridiculous. Needs to immediately come off the banned list.

How so? Weed no longer has the social stigma it once had. Nobody cares anymore. Phelps got caught and it didn't ruin his endorsements.
IRK..Especially since the ghettos started in the Jewish communities.
Also, the punishment for weed is pretty harsh compared to the lack of punishment at all for cocaine use, especially in the NHL, where the use is quite rampant.
Double standards, among other things, for sure.
⬆️Exactly

I have no idea why you keep bringing up the NHL. Do you have any evidence that pro hockey players use cocaine more than NFL or NBA players? In any case, Phelps never tested positive for weed and yet was sanctioned for three months just based on a picture. I do agree that canabis should not be a banned substance; hopefully this will lead to some change.

It can be used as a masking agent for testosterone.

Oh sure, like this would have happened to a white sprinter. Oh, wait. There are none.
Just go ahead and stay in denial about your own country, and then wonder why its going down the drain and is ridiculed around the world for its oppressive culture.
Dude if a white sprinter won the trials and tested positive for weed the same thing would’ve happened. This has nothing to do with America. We aren’t the ones that drug tested her. Take it up with WADA if you think they’re “racist”.
I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that weed is a banned substance. It’s a complete joke. But stop acting like this is a race issue. It’s not.
They have access to it very easily so yes, go do some homework and research it yourself. The evidence is out there. It is not a secret.
could it be a masking agent? Speaking of agents, Nehemiah may want to call Snoop.
If it wasn't clear during the trials, her emotional well being is not very balanced or matured quite yet. The new found fame has made a heavy load, heavier. Some can cope, some really need help.
This will play out over and over again even more so now that the NCAA has been forced to adapt to a social, capitalistic mentality that will pervade the very institutions in which they educate for life after sports.

it doesnt have recovery benefits. if anything it's a detriment because it f*cks with your sleep. I can't stand her whole over the top persona but this is ridiculous. She's supposed to not use a legal, non performance enhancing drug because some dumb ass rule says so? Plenty of people use weed for anxiety relief, pain relief, etc. Nobody uses it for athletic enhancement.
Has anyone other than they Jamaican newspaper reported it? How did the story get there so far ahead of every US outlet.
My guess is the USATF was planning on quietly sweeping it under the rug, but now that it's out there, they may be forced to act.
If anyone is interested on why cannabis is banned by WADA, here are the answers (at least we know cannabis wasn't responsible for all the false starts last week).
Gault: "Jamaica Gleaner reporting that Sha'Carri Richardson tested positive for cannabis at the Olympic Trials."
but i'm not seeing the word "cannabis" anywhere in the story since at least an hour ago when I read it? was it edited out? if so why would they do that?
